Nice antenna and works great

Pat at Right Channel Radios is great to work with. I have bought several items over the years and have always had great service. Items I have purchased are always shipped very quickly and correctly. Always a pleasure to do business with them.

Haven’t installed it yet. But that’s tomorrow’s project. Everything arrived timely. Two packages 1 day apart. Whip was shipped in pvc pipe which is about the best you can do I think. Gonna be pretty tall on the roof of my s10. Might consider the little will if you want to keep it looking proportionate on a small truck.

At first, thank you, RCR, for the fast delivery. Last week I installed the radio in my truck. Thanks to its compacter size it fits well in the console (in front of the shifter) of my 2. gen. Nissan Frontier.
I routed the antenna cable backwards through the center tunnel, from there under the carpet under the drivers seat, then to the rear of the cabin in the cable channel under the door sill trim. There is a rubber plug right next to the cabin vent (king cab), large enough to feed the cable with the connector through. Great:-) Antenna (5' Firestik) is attached via the "Universal 3-way mount" and some large washers to the existing "Utilirack" channel system.
I had to fit a somewhat longer bolt on the antenna to get SWR down to 1.3.
So far very happy overall! Best thing on the President Thomas is the large display. Easy to read, especially for folks my age 60+...
The reception is very clear and the automatic squelch seems to work good.
In the few days after the install I haven't had a chance to make some conversation, though. Like in Europe (where I came from), CB has gotten rather quite?

Well built speaker. The product description does not indicate that the speaker does come with a cable with a monaural 1/8" plug need to hook up to a typical CB's PA jack.

This antenna is a good upgrade over the stock antenna. It seems to be durable and provides an increase in range of the basic antenna without being too cumbersome.

I am not impressed by the packaging. No indication that this is even a President product. No "President Number 1 CB" markings. Just a plain plastic bag for the packaging.

I purchased the truck mount for my 2018 Chevy Silverado and the mounting position blocked the shroud cover slot next to the A pillar. So I had to drill 2 holes closer to the fender so I could mount the mount. Everything else is working perfectly fine.

This is an awesome radio, the audio is clear, the built in swr meter make it super easy to set up an antenna, if your thinking about getting it i definitely would recommend
