President Randy II AM/FM FCC
Just be were buying something from a company does have no return policy. If it does not work, you are stuck.
I bought the President Randy II in order to have something I can just toss in the car when I travel and get traffic reports, without having to connect/ disconnect my mobile radio and antenna. So far, with the rubber duck antenna, I have not been able to hear any traffic on CH 19 or other channels. I’ve tried auto squelch and no squelch and still nothing. With my lil Will external antenna, I can hear traffic, however that sort of defeats the purpose of why I bought a hand held radio. If I have to use an external antenna, I might as well use my 80 watt Stryker mobile radio. Other than the useless rubber duck antenna, the radio is built solid as a rock, decent audio and battery life, and a very nice display. The antenna could be defective, however I have no way of analyzing it…73’s
This is a nice radio very solid large display. I hobby fix old Cb radio Ham equip. I thought this would be a novelty radio.
It is not, it is a clean piece of tech. kicked it up to 5 watt in service mode could do 7 Stock is 3-4 on Hi. I have some old nice brick radios handheld from the 70's (Dyna -Com) with 1307 Final transistors. This little radio kicks them all. I highly recommend this radio.
