|RVs, motorhomes and trailers that don't have a metallic chassis. A large, metallic chassis (i.e. ground plane) is necessary for standard CB equipment to work properly. However, the no-ground equipment in this kit is specially engineered to work when installed on fiberglass, wood and other non-metal surfaces. For more information on installing NGP systems, please see these NGP Installation Tips.

|Virtually all CB radios. The three-way mount can be positioned horizontally or vertically for various mirror arms and rails. The back clamp can also be removed, converting the mount into an "L" bracket that can screwed into any vertical surface.
|Range(s) provided are for comparison purposes only and are subject to numerous installation and environmental variables. For more detailed information, please see our reference article on CB Radio Range.

This kit provides an ideal solution when a good vehicle chassis ground isn't available. Whether it's installed on an RV, trailer, motorhome or boat, this kit will provide superior CB performance in a no-ground environment. All kit components are high-quality parts manufactured by Firestik.
The antenna included in these kits is extremely similar to Firestik's Firefly series, but specially modified for NGP applications. It has a tunable tip, which makes adjusting for peak performance and minimal SWR as simple as turning a screw on top of the antenna.
This kit uses Firestik's popular three-way CB antenna mounting bracket. This extremely versatile mount can be used to mount the antenna to vertical or horizontal mirror arms or other bars. If the back of the mount is removed, it also functions as an "L mount" and can be mounted to any vertical surface. The mount is extremely well built and made of rust-resistant stainless steel.
The 17' coaxial cable included in the kits is of the highest quality. The kit's NGP cable assembly uses a custom-manufactured coaxial cable available only through Firestik. This NGP cable can only be directly attached to Firestik NGP antennas. If a longer cable length is required, the user may add standard RG-58 A/U cable between the radio and NGP cable, preferably in lengths that are multiples of nine feet. Because it is a tuned circuit, the length cannot be reduced without causing non-repairable damage.
If you purchase this kit, please make sure to read these important NGP installation instructions.

Firestik NGP 3-Way Mount CB Antenna Kit
Very versatile and easy to mount
Easy to install. It is hard to get low swr and may take some patience.
I am using the Firestick NGP as a base station antenna, installed on a 15 foot mast. The no ground plane design is required since this is installed on a Block structure without any effective ground plane. I have run Vector SWR scans of the antenna’s SWR over the BW used by the 40 CB channels… The SWR is Below 2, but even at the lowest point (CH-20), it’s still about 1.7-1.8…Since the effective ground plane is just the coax… these are limitations.. Anyway, it’s been working ok. Due to HOA limitations I did not want to install a large antenna, so this is a compromise. I already tried a regular mobile antenna, but it needed a ground plane that doesn’t exist in this location.. So the NGP version of the FireStick was my option… I would suggest using a NanoVNA for getting a handle on your antenna’s turning and SWR performance.
as of now it is working well swr are 1.01 it was easily mounted to my harley will test it more as i ride for now as i use it on the road trips i take have use it around the house for now .
