Protect your CB rig with our medium-sized spring, designed specifically for antennas that are up to 3’ tall. This durable, stainless steel spring is rust- and weather-resistant so you don’t have to worry about it lashing around in the elements either. For antennas above 3’, we recommend our heavy-duty spring.

Every antenna should have a spring to protect the antenna, mount and vehicle from hits to the antenna. Firestik springs are made from long-lasting, top-grade electro-polished stainless steel. The upper and lower inserts are made with chrome-plated machined brass and have standard 3/8" x 24 threads to fit all standard 3/8" antennas, mounts and accessories. The medium-duty model works especially well with Firestik's 2' KW & FS series antennas, as well as the 3' FL or RP antennas. Each spring is about 3.0" (76mm) tall with a diameter of 0.800" (20mm).
The spring is made of quality material and fits great. Definitely gives at 70 mph.

Was having trouble with my trunk mount (used it on the lip of my door) constantly slowly tilting back no matter how far I drove. Since I’ve put the spring in I haven’t had the issue once.

Not for a 3' antenna! Too light and it sways around in the wind.
Thanks for the review William. The Medium spring is good for lighter 3' antennas like the Firestik Firefly, Francis and Procomm steel whip. For the Firestik FS, Wilson FGT, or other heavy fiberglass antenna, the Heavy Duty spring is ideal.
