Description

This heavy-duty stainless steel fender mount provides a reliable and easy-to-install antenna setup for your 4th Generation Ford Ranger or Expedition. Made from polished 18 gauge stainless steel with a protective rubber pad, it supports antennas up to 4 feet tall and does not require drilling to install. We recommend pairing this mount with a Terminator Ring Coax Cable and Firestik Firefly antenna. This mount does not include an antenna stud, so be sure to get a coax cable that includes a stud or select a compatible antenna stud for your coax cable.

Recommended for: 2019 - 2023 Fourth Generation Ford Ranger Trucks or 2018 - 2024 4th Generation Ford Expedition SUV's. Ideal for use with a top-loaded antenna such as a Firestik FS, Firefly, or Wilson FGT.

Compatible with: All fiberglass and center-load antennas that use a standard 3/8" x 24 threaded base.

Installation Notes: Installs on the driver side fender. Open the hood of the truck, remove a single bolt and align the antenna mount with the fender near the truck cowl. This mount does not include an antenna stud so be sure to order a coax cable that includes a stud (Procomm Terminator) or an antenna stud that's compatible with your coax cable.

Could Be Better. Should Be Better

Yes, it fits. But not as well as I had hoped. The angles are a bit wrong: could be more angled on the angles inside the hood. When tightened down bare metal comes in contact with the fender so I had to add a thin protective layer between the mount and fender. The spacer used on the inside of the hood needs to be a bit taller/thicker.

The adhesive pads that come on the mount need to be bigger to cover more area.

Finally, there was some sort of adhesive on the mount (of course, the side that will be seen) that - even though it came off - left a stain on the metal.

So, yes, it works. But I had hoped for much more than I got. I believe it's "the only game in town" at this point as far as 2019+ Rangers go, so if you want a custom mount and are willing to bite the bullet a bit here ya go.

I'll keep it, but I really wish there had been a review or two prior to purchase so I could be better informed. Knowing what I know now I'm not sure I would have bought it as I understand NCG is coming out with a custom mount for the Ranger within the year....
