This unique CB mount can be installed in a vehicle's door jamb or tailgate hatch. Once the mount is installed, the 180-degree swivel allows you to adjust the stud to ensure a straight, vertical antenna regardless of the mounting angle! This Firestik mount was designed for vans, pickup trucks and SUVs, but is versatile enough to mount on any vehicle with a door. Made from rust-resistant stainless steel and recommended for antennas up to 4' tall. The lug stud requires a terminal or ring-style CB coax.

Model / SKU:Firestik SS204
Recommended for:Mounting to inner door jambs, like those on the rear or side door of a cargo van or truck. The vertical adjustment feature lets you mount the jamb on either side of the vehicle, or on vehicles with non-vertical door jambs. Recommended for antennas up to 4' tall.
Compatible with:
All fiberglass and center-load antennas that use a standard 3/8" x 24 threaded base.
Installation Notes:
This mount attaches to the inner edge of the door jamb and contains four holes to secure it to the vehicle using screws or bolts. We recommend first marking where the holes will be drilled using the mount as a template. You can then drill the holes and attach the mount.
Mount Location:
Vertical Surface / Side Mount, Other
Stud Type:
Lug (Ring and Terminal)
Material:Stainless Steel
Product Includes:Door jamb mount
Lug-style antenna stud
Antenna and coax sold separately

These Firestik mounts were specifically designed to enable antenna installation on vehicles where other mounts might not work. The primary goal was to offer a mount that could attach to the inner door jamb, such as the jamb found on the rear or side door of a cargo van. The mounting screws are on the inner edge of the jamb, eliminating visible holes in the vehicle. Like many other Firestik mounts, the versatility of these mounts go well beyond their targeted use. For antennas up to 4' tall.

Bracket parts and mounting hardware are made of stainless steel for years of trouble-free use. The bracket is 1.5" (38mm) wide and has a 2" (50mm) reach for mounting inside the door jamb. Overall, the mount is 4.2" (105mm) long. In order to compensate for the door jamb angles, the stud bracket will swivel a full 180 degrees, 90 in each direction. This feature lets you mount the antenna on the left or right side of the vehicle.

  • Ring or terminal coax attachment
  • Two-year warranty

Almost worked!

I searched the internet for a mount that would work in the hatch of my Subaru Crosstrek--this was the only one I would find. As it turned out, I could not mount an antenna in a fully vertical position anywhere in the hatch. My great good fortune was a local mechanic was able to bend it so that the antenna was correctly mounted. Otherwise, the mount is adequate--solid enough to secure a 4 ft fiberglass antenna. Because there are countless angles on trunks and hatches you won't know if this one will fit until you try it. If it works, I'd recommend you use robust screws in all 4 mounting holes to attach it to the sheet metal.

Thanks for the review Michael and we're thrilled you were able to alter the mount and get it to work. I'm sure you'll agree that it's a solid mount when it's installed!

Fantastic Mount for my Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ

First I have to say, I got the Mount on Amazon not Right Channel Radios but I did use there guides to figure out what would work best for my WJ. I love this Mount I installed it in my rear left tail light bucket and it looks super clean, I was able to run the firering coax that came with it along the light and inside by my lift gate. It was super easy to install the only problem I had was that the holes I drilled were a little to big for the screws that came with it, but I had plenty of extras that were big enough so it works great, really sturdy.
