Great antenna with a pretty strong magnet. Not tuneable, but SWR metered at no higher than 1.5 in my scenario. It's a shorty antenna, so manage your expectations about the effective range capabilities. There are much better choices for mag mounts that offer a longer reach for range, but this makes for a decent starter antenna when buying a President radio to get the extended 5 year factory warranty on the radio: think of it as buying an extra three years of factory warranty for your President radio while getting a basic functional antenna in return. It does its expected job well, as long as you don't expect miracles. 5 stars for design and ease of use plus the warranty extension on a President radio purchased at the same time, 1 star for paltry range, so 3 stars overall.

First there are a lot better CB antennas on the market that preform better than this one. That's not the point of his antenna. This antenna is for situations where you cannot install a better antenna. Rental or leased vehicles come to mind. Also, remember President's 2+3 year warranty policy, this antenna qualifies your President radio for an additional 3 years when purchased together.

I bought this antenna expecting to use to a few weeks on one vehicle until I got a new vehicle. That did not work out as the first vehicle died while the antenna was being shipped to me. The antenna works within its limitations on the new vehicle. When I replace the antenna with something better I will be keeping the President antenna as a back up. On the whole, the antenna appears to be well built and pairs well with the President Randy II handheld radio for a "no-installation" CB setup.

So far so good. Bought two of them. One on a Cobra 29 the other on a President McKinley.

Gets much better range than you would expect. Used on a decently long road trip hooked up to a President Randy FCC handheld, and was getting compliments from truckers about how good it sounded. Holds on great even at 80 mph and with unpredictable winds. Another thing I like about it is how it looks pretty much like a stock antenna. Only con I can think of is that it is not tunable. But this did not turn out to be too much of a problem. Like I said this thing really works best for a temporary, sleek setup with a modern handheld radio. Mine is constantly moving between friends cars when I need to keep in contact with them from my own truck with its own radio setup.
