It's ok, I switched back to the mic that comes with the Uniden 510XL The Astatic mike seems to make the receiving voice more muffled. If i could send the power mic back, I would. Some times paying more is just not worth it. Other than that i am very satisfied with everything else.
works well, but it feels a bit on the cheap side with the plastic body and fit when installing battery, we will see how durable it is ?
Had this thing for a few years now, all I can say is this mic has always been a performer. Anyone I have reached comments how great my audio clarity is, and I don't even run the gain at 100%. Yes, mine did have that common problem with the PTT button not working properly, but there are some easy ways to fix that, just look online. Overall, I am very happy with this mic. And I am sure it will work just fine years down the road.
Works like a champ, slightly larger than my previous microphone, but works as advertised. Allows for adjustable gain while cutting out noise, what more could you ask for.
I do not want to be to rude but I was used to a better quality. In my memory, Astatic made better products. Ye,s the electronic works good and the mike provides a good and loud audio but I wish I won't have problems with the push button (the PTT). Mine had a too large space between the plastic key and the interrupter. So, half the time when pressing the PTT, no audio was sent. I had to add a small part of cork to have a 100% operation.
