This through-the-glass CB antenna kit has a low profile, resembles a cellular booster antenna, and is incredibly easy to install. However, its small size is the trade-off for an extremely limited range. The small wire whip should provide enough range to communicate with the friends you're caravanning with 50 yards away, but not much more. If it's possible to mount a standard 3' or 4' CB antenna, your range will be greatly increased. If not, this kit is a perfect solution, so long as your friends don't get too far ahead.

| Recommended for: | Low-profile, easy installations for short-range communication needs (i.e. less than 1/4 mile). For slightly better range in an on-glass kit, we recommend the ProComm VCBGM kit, which uses a fiberglass whip. For reliable CB communications of any distance, we strongly recommend using a traditionally mounted fiberglass, center-load or magentic antenna if possible. |
