Product Description

The Wilson Flex is extremely similar to the FGT series with the added benefit of antenna flexibility. It is designed specifically for the CB user requiring an antenna that will take the rigorous vibrations from a truck, handle rugged use, endure extreme changes in cold weather, and still perform well. Wilson designed this antenna with a exclusive impedance matching transformer, to give good SWR without sacrificing power gain. The Flex series includes a tunable tip, making antenna tuning as simple as twisting a knob. Wilson uses 22 gauge silver plated wire to reduce resistive losses and increase performance. If the Flex doesn't outperform your current similar antenna, Wilson will refund your money (see manufacturer's website for full details).

  • Flexible design protect antenna and mount while improving durability

Nicely designed antenna, flex's great but tunes poor. More suited for
offroading, not good for distance. Couldn't tune it below 2, where my
Firestik tunes 1.2. Buyer beware. Rightchannelradio's offered me a refund on
this antenna, but I opted to keep it for off-road use. I have an unspring
Firestik that I use while on the road.

Great antenna, flexes nicely on the trails with low hanging branches, and its stiff enough that it only bows a little bit going down the highway. Would definitely buy again. The only weakness as far as I am concerned, is using the tiny allen wrench to tune it. Wish it had a thumb wheel or something to make it easier.

2 of these antennas broke in in month. They are manufactured poorly. Both antennas broke at the tip of the antenna where the tunable tip would slide up and down in. Both also broke while simply tuning the antenna and sliding the rubber cap on and off. Neither of the antennas were easy to tune. I even had to cut the actual antenna to tune it. I thought the idea of a tunable tip was so you wouldn't have to cut the antenna. I have used Firestick in the past and will go back to Firestick.
