Jeep & Off-Road CB Kit - Uniden Pro 510XL

Created specifically for Jeeps, 4x4s and other off-road vehicles, this kit has everything you'll need for a high-quality CB installation. The most important part of any CB setup is the antenna and mount and we've included high-quality components for both. Our kit includes a radio, antenna, mounting hardware, coax and even an SWR meter for antenna tuning.

Radio:This kit is built around the Uniden Pro 510XL, a popular choice for Jeep and off-road vehicle owners who need a reliable, compact and affordable CB. Its compact size makes it ideal for vehicles where space is at a premium and the extended two year warranty speaks to its rugged field reliability. Due to popular demand, we've also made it possible to upgrade to the Uniden 520 if you'd like the rugged reliability of the 510 with the added features of a PA system and RF gain.

Antenna: The kit provides two different antenna options:

• Wilson FLEX: On the trail, it's convenient to have an antenna that can survive getting snagged, bent, bowed and abused. Subsequently, we picked an antenna that can bend 180 degrees without breaking - the Wilson FLEX. These 3' and 4' antennas provide superior protection against snapping and hold up well to the rigors of off-road use. While flexible, they don't offer the same level of transmit and receive performance that a traditional fiberglass antenna like the Firestik FS (discussed below) does. If flexibility is most important and long-range communication isn't crucial, the FLEX is a good choice.


• Firestik FS: The Firestik FS series is the most popular fiberglass CB antenna on the market today. It doesn't offer the flexibility of the Wilson FLEX, but it does provide significantly better transmit and receive performance. Also, a CB spring can be added to provide limited flexibility to the antenna and mount if desired. If optimal range is most important, the Firestik FS antenna is a better choice than the Wilson FLEX.

Mount & Coax: We include a choice of six kits which allows for a great deal of mounting flexibility and customization. All kits include a quality CB antenna mount as well as high-grade Fire-Flex or Belden coax. Three mounting options come included in the price of the kit, while proprietary Jeep and FJ mounts are available as a $19.95 upgrade. Please see the mounting links below for individual kit details.
