Details
The FGT line of Wilson antennas has several attractive features and is guaranteed to work better than any other fiberglass antenna in its class. Wilson designed this antenna with an exclusive impedance matching transformer to give good SWR without sacrificing power gain. The FGT series includes a tunable tip, making antenna tuning as simple as twisting a knob. Wilson uses 18-gauge silver-plated wire to reduce resistive losses and increase performance. If the FGT doesn't outperform your current fiberglass top-loaded antenna, Wilson will refund your money (see manufacturer's website for full details). Note: Antenna mount not included

I have run these for years; probably 6 or 7 antenna in all, usually get the 3'. Always run power through them too; usually up to 400 watts or so. They really do good in a Diesel truck, easy fine tuning of SWR's-they really get out great. Have talked 30-40 miles on a good day. (Posted on January 3, 2013)Overall Rating

I got one of these 2 years ago and had it for about 6 months when it oddly quit working. So I got another one and it did the same thing within a couple weeks. After examining them, I realized both of them were fried and completely useless. I was just using a barefoot stock Cobra 29 Classic CB radio so I know their radio didn’t fry them. Get a Firestik! Ordered this antenna, the Chevrolet mount for my truck, fire ring coax cable and a heavy duty spring. Mounted them on the truck and dropped my SWR reading from 2.2 to 1.2.
