Compatible with:	1987 to 2006 CJ, YJ and TJ Jeep Wranglers. When combined with an antenna stud, the mount will support all fiberglass and center-load antennas that use a standard 3/8" x 24 threaded base.
Installation Notes:	This mount installs between the Jeep's chassis and the tail light assembly. For complete details, please see the Teraflex Installation Guide. IMPORTANT NOTE: The mount uses a powder-coated finish, which prevents the mount and antenna from properly grounding out of the box. Make sure to scrape off the powder coating adjacent to the antenna stud and mounting bolts to ensure proper grounding. Otherwise, you'll experience high SWR and poor performance.

Overall, I am pleased with this mount. I would give it 5 stars, but the mount I received has a really large hole for the antenna stud. The standard stud would not work properly. The Right Channel Radio customer service was great and sent me a stud with a larger base at no charge. The larger base enabled me to tighten the stud down properly. (Posted on February 27, 2013)

I am a licensed Amateur Radio (HAM) Operator. I purchased two (2) of the Teraflex Jeep Tail light CB antenna mounts. One for the left side and one for the right. The mounts are off set away from the rear opening of the cargo area. Whether you have a rag top or hard top, the mounts keep your antenna(s) clear. The mounts are made of heavy gauge steel and have a 3/8" hole for the antenna mount. On my Jeep, the right side has a K-40 CB Radio antenna and the left side has a LARSEN 3/8" NMO mount with a LARSEN 2-meter antenna. The mounts are strong (with the additional nut & bolt) and can handle the swaying and weight of the antennas with no problem. The heavy coating on the mounts (it appears to be powder coating) had to be removed from the inside of the hole with a file to insure a proper RF connection. I also coated the inside of the hole with never seize to prevent rust.

These mounts solve a problem for Jeep owners on mounting antennas in a location that does not obstruct the swing away tire carrier on or hamper the loading or unloading of the cargo area. It also sets the antenna away from the body of the Jeep for less reflected RF energy (SWR).

I would gladly recommend this mount to any Jeep owner.
