The Firestik CB Roof Magnet Mount is a great choice for mounting an antenna on the roof, trunk or other flat vehicle surface. The ceramic magnet uses a heavy steel cup to concentrate the magnetic field, ensuring your antenna won't fly off while driving. To keep your vehicle's paint job in mint condition, an adhesive-backed mylar disk is affixed to the bottom of the magnet. The mount includes 18' of high-quality Firestik coax cable. Recommended for use with 3' antennas or light 4' fiberglass antennas, such as the Firestik Firefly.

Firestik CB Antenna Mount: The strongest single-magnet mount you can own! The Firestik magnet mount has a 4.9" (125mm) base. The ceramic magnet uses a heavy steel cup to concentrate the magnetic field, thus increasing the holding power of the assembly. To protect the vehicle finish, an adhesive-backed mylar disk is affixed to the bottom of the magnet. Firestik includes 18' of its (5.5m) FireFlex coaxial cable assembly with this mount, based on the FireRing's trouble-free history. The mount end of the coax has the exclusive FireRing connector, while the radio end has a molded PL-259 connector.

We recommend using this mount with Firestik and Firestik II antennas up to 3' tall or with Firefly and Road Pal antennas up to 4' tall. Because of the variables associated with mobile use (headwinds, ice build-up, rain, side drafts from big trucks, etc.), we also recommend that you use a medium-duty spring with this mount.

I have this on my '01 Yota. It works perfectly and had plenty of cable to run to my dash and it looks great too! The plastic makes it soft on your paint but the magnet is pretty heavy duty. If a branch hit low on the antenna the magnet would pop off but I would rather have that than a broken antenna or mount. (Posted on February 27, 2013)

Good Mount!

I uses this for center loaded antenna on '04 Expedition. It holds well. The bottom of mount is covered with plastic between vehicle and mount. It's a little unclear if antenna is grounded and there appears to have no available method to ground. However, the SWR is very low despite these concerns. (Posted on February 7, 2013)

Great mount, Stayed on at 130mph!

This magnetic antenna mount is great. It worked flawlessly on our recent trip, the One Lap of America. 3500 miles and 8 track events in 8 days. The mount even held our 4 foot antenna firmly while the car was on the racetrack at 130+ mph. The coating on the bottom could have been applied a little better, but it does help prevent scratches and did not seem to affect performance at all. I would definitely give this mount a rating of 5.
