Installation Notes:	Easy, tool-free install. Screw the spring into any CB stud or mount, and then screw the antenna into the top of the disconnect. Spring can also be used with a quick disconnect; they're simply stacked/screwed on top of one another.

Details

Every antenna should have a spring to protect the antenna, mount and vehicle. These springs are made from long-lasting, top-grade electro-polished stainless steel. The upper and lower inserts are made of chrome-plated machined brass and have standard 3/8" x 24 threads to fit all standard 3/8" antennas, mounts and accessories. The heavy-duty model may be used with antennas up to 60". Each spring is about 3" (76mm) tall with a diameter of 0.800" (20mm).

I got this to protect my Firestik from breakage. Even though this is rated for a 4' and above, I got it for my 3' antenna and would recommend anyone else do the same. Worth the extra couple dollars. There is just enough flex to keep the antenna safe, but it's stiff enough to keep it from whipping around all crazy off-road or at high speeds. (Posted on April 3, 2013)

This spring does great under my antennas. I am running a co-phased four foot Firestik antennas with a quick disconnect. The springs seem to sway a lot less than the truck stop springs I originally purchased with my initial installation. And so far, they seem to be resisting rust and corrosion a lot better.
