This adapter allows the antenna to be folded down 90 degrees horizontally along the vehicle for convenience and added clearance! Compatible with all standard fiberglass antennas, the adapter lets you quickly rotate your antenna into a more manageable location without tools, or the need to remove the antenna from the vehicle. Compatible for fiberglass antennas up to 5'. Radio should not be operated when antenna is in horizontal position.

I have used the fold over adapter for 7 months now. It does work as advertised, but there is about an 1/8 inch of play in the adapter mechanism. This allows the antenna to rock back and forth about 2 inches (at the top of a 4 foot antenna). I feel that an antenna should be firmly fixed to the vehicle, but with this adapter, it just feels a little sloppy. Also, I live in Colorado and the adapter is already rusting out just from one winter.

3 stars because it does work as advertised. Loss of a star because of rust. Loss of another star because of the play in the mechanism.
