Details
One of the most popular base antennas available, the Antron is known for providing great base TX/RX performance at a very reasonable price! At just over 17 feet tall, the antenna is large enough to get out a good distance, and small enough for home and small commercial installations.
The Antron 99 Base Station Antenna makes it possible to tune the input to the antenna and obtain the right SWR reading over a range of frequencies, thanks to the Solarcon Twin Ring Adjust-A-Match tuning feature. Raising and lowering the rings will determine how low or high the frequency will be.

Good antenna.
Review by Red Leader 1 -
This antenna is well built and tall. It was an easy install and good results. It has a good reception to 45 miles before reaching full height of 25 feet. (Posted on March 25, 2013)Overall Rating

Had one up before and never had a problem.
Review by The Count -
I had the Antron 99 Base with ground plane and I never had problem. It was up on the roof attached to the stink pipe and it stayed upright for I'm going to say over 10 years. It went through some of the toughest blizzards and plenty of wind gusts of over 40 miles an hour. Up here in Boston we get it all, snow, sleet and rain, wind, hurricanes, you name it. One day I came home and it was broken. Now that I am thinking about it, I probable could have replaced just the top section and middle section. Any way I have a Uniden 810E radio with side band and some nights I might talk to North Carolina. I am really a novice, but locally this antenna blew the others away.
