Antenna:The made-in-America Firestik Firefly CB fiberglass antenna offers quality and performance at a reasonable price. This antenna is less likely to whip in the wind due to its smaller gauge, which reduces the amount of wind drag on both the antenna and mount. Available in 3' or 4' lengths and comes in black.
Mounting Hardware:This complete antenna kit includes a factory-looking mount that's custom made for Chevy/GMC model years since 1999. All mounts attach firmly to the driver's side hood channel on the driver side of the truck, uses existing hood bolts, for a no-hassle, no drilling instal.
Additional Information:The package also includes a 9' Firestik FireRing CB Coax with FME, which is a low-profile, weather-resistant ring connection coax cable. The FME screw-off connection allows for easier cable routing through holes and/or firewalls. An optional add-on is the Firestik CB Antenna Quick Disconnect, which allows you to easily disconnect the antenna, sans tools, in a pinch.

A Solid Solution, But Needs Minor Adjustment

The bracket itself is sturdy stainless and comes with an antenna lug and grounding screw. Though I suspect the bracket's direct contact with the hood hinge bolt is sufficient, I tapped a secondary ground to the engine harness braid inside the engine compartment. On initial installation the bracket rubbed the hood slightly on open/close. I found that bending the anchor tabs slightly down forced the bracket snug against the wall of the hood channel and the problem went away. Using this with a FireRing requires the "on top" installation method with only the lug on the bottom of the bracket. I have two of these installations and on both of them I cut a piece of clear packing tape to act as a buffer between the bolt and the fender.

its ok

i had to bend the bracket a bit but otherwise it works ans fit great it is flexing quite a bit with a 4 feet antenna so I think it will eventually scratch the paint

2015 GMC Sierra fender mount kit

Right Channel Radios is the right place to go when looking for communication equipment. I am very pleased with the service and quality of parts from them. The only thing negative that I can say is that i had to slightly bend the fender mount bracket for my 2015 gmc sierra to get the antenna to sit straight. Other than that, I was most pleased with their interesting emails and the customer service i received from them. In fact, I was so pleased that I ended up writing them an email to thank them for the positive experience I had and for going the extra mile for their customers. They replied quickly and my parts were delivered on time. Great Job Right Channel Radios! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for good quality and great customer care.
