What’s lug, got to do, got to do with it? In this case, this is the perfect lug-style stud that’s compatible with a terminal or ring-style coax cable. You’ll use this mount to attach to the existing fender bolts on your truck for an easy, no-drill install. Designed from rust-resistant stainless steel and recommended for antennas up to 4' tall.

Need a complete CB system? This mount is an option in our Dodge Ram CB Kit.

Model / SKU:Firestik SS184
Recommended for:
Dodge Ram and Dakota pickups from 1994 to 2003. Due to body changes made in 2004, this mount will not fit 2004 and newer vehicles. (Please see the 2004-2008 Dodge mount for newer models.)
Compatible with:All fiberglass and center-load antennas that use a standard 3/8" x 24 threaded base. Recommended for antennas up to 4' tall. Lug stud requires a terminal or ring-style CB coax.
Installation Notes:When the hood is open, the fender bolt near the firewall is removed (right or left side) and later reused to bolt the antenna bracket to the fender lip under the hood. All mounting hardware is invisible unless the hood is open. Additional stainless steel sheet metal screws are supplied for extra strength. The bracket has a predetermined bend and does not interfere with hood closure.
Mount Location:Hood / Fender
Stud Type:Lug (Ring and Terminal)
Material:Stainless Steel
Product Includes:Mount and lug-style stud
Antenna and coax sold separately

The SS184 stainless steel mount is primarily used to install antennas on 1994 through 2003 Dodge Ram and Dakota pickups. (Due to body changes made in 2004, this mount will not fit 2004 and newer vehicles.) When the hood is open, the fender bolt near the firewall is removed (right or left side) and later reused to bolt the antenna bracket to the fender lip under the hood. All mounting hardware is invisible unless the hood is open. Additional stainless steel sheet metal screws are supplied for extra strength. The bracket has a predetermined bend and does not interfere with hood closure. The bracket is 2" (51mm) wide by 4.1" (104mm) long, and the stud requires terminal or ring-style coaxial connectors. However, we do have a mini kit that contains the bracket and FireRing coax in one package. If you don't already have the coax, the mini kit (MK-184R) would be a better choice.
