Firestik CB coax is a great quality choice for general CB installations. The RG-58 coax cable has a 95%+ shielding rating, which reduces signal loss and improves your effective transmission range. A stranded center conductor and polyvinyl insulation help the cable hold up against internal shorts and external wear. This Firestik K8 coax is 18' long and has a terminal end for connecting to lug-style studs and to side and ball mounts.

Quality coax is to your radio what clean arteries are to your heart. Firestik single-lead cable assemblies are made from RG-58A/U Fire-Flex coaxial cable. They can be used on any single antenna installation, including CB, scanner, 2-meter and 10-meter.

This Firestik cable is 18' (5.5m) long, and both ends have a PL-259 type connector. This cable is designed for use with Firestik K-4A or R-4A antenna studs and any mount that uses either of these SO-239 stud mounts.

Coax

Everybody in the CB radio world says that 18' of coax is the way to go. Others say keep the coax as short as practical for the installation. Either way I hooked this 18' of coax to my Cobra 29 and the 102" whip and have perfect SWR and guys in the area report my output as very crisp and loud. This cable with my radio and antenna shows an SWR of 1.1. This coax has my thumbs up, nice solid connectors, tough outer jacket and performs well.

Good cable

Cable seems to be of good quality. Cable arrived quickly which was nice because I was about to leave on a trip (always last minute right!). I ran this from the molded mount on the "D" pillar or my 4 door all the way through the roof and dash down to the center console. I have my CB mounted on the center console because there is no space in the dash. it was BARELY long enough. I didn't need to cut it or anything, Its a perfect fit, like it was made for it. The customer service from RCR is second to none, i recommenced them for all of my radio needs. They have treated me right, i make no money off them. They go above and beyond and in this day and age that is worth something to me. thanks again.
