I used this cable to connect a 3' Firestik antenna mounted on the hood of my '98 Ford Explorer to the junction box of a Cobra 75 WX ST radio mounted behind the dash. I was able to pass the cable end through the grommet where the AM/FM antenna enters the cab and therefore didnt need to drill any holes in the firewall.
