LOVE this radio! It is simple to use and works well.
I recently took a trip from Ohio to North Carolina and everyone I talked to said that I sounded great. I was deciding between this Cobra radio and the Uniden pc78 elite. Both radios are the same price but I read some reviews and learned that some people where saying that the back lit display on the Uniden radio is too bright. That is a big reason why I picked the Cobra 29 NW as it has a knob to adjust the brightness.
Right Channel Radios is the way to go. The first CB i received was defective and they sent me a new radio with no questions asked. It was quick and simple!
Thanks RCR, you will be the only place I go for my radio needs!

I'm not a beginner when it comes to CBs, but I'm also not a pro. But this CB paired with a Wilson 5000 antenna works GREAT! I have moved this setup into 2 of my vehicles, the first one was my trail truck. Every time members of our group got lost, I was always the one who could talk to and hear the lost vehicles. Now this setup resides in my daily river and while out on road trips with the wife, it's a great asset to be able to talk and listen to traffic MILES ahead of us. All in all the install was very easy, and the tuning was the toughest part. Just make sure to look over your head and make sure that there aren't any power lines up above.

I'm a beginner CB'er and I found this set to be extremely easy to set up, it came with everything you need to get going and took very little time, probably around half an hour to get the SWR set up. The built in SWR meter is quite accurate so you do not even need to go out and buy a separate SWR meter to get going with this CB. The sound comes through the built in speaker very well so there is no need for a external speaker. The night watch feature is very nice, especially if you do alot of night driving, this way you don't have to memorize where any dials are because they show up quite clearly, the brightness can be adjusted depending on what you like. Overall I'd say this is a very good buy, a high quality radio at a decent price, but I am a beginner so the best way to find out is to try one for yourself.
