We don't always get what we wish for, but sometimes the stars align!  We're thrilled to Introduce the official Mopar Jeep JK CB kit. Perfect for 2011+ JK owners who need a reliable CB setup for off-piste adventures. The kit includes the Cobra 75 WX ST handheld radio, a 2011+ Jeep specific microphone mount, Jeep branded external speaker, and aluminum spare tire antenna mount with a 3' pre-turned antenna and 18' of coax cable. Even though the antenna is pre-turned, you'll want to check your setup with a SWR meter to be sure everything is working as it should.

*Note: The microphone mount will only fit 2011 and newer JK models. All the other parts will fit any year of JK Jeep.

Radio:This kit is built around the Cobra 75 WX ST handheld CB. The Cobra 75 is ideal for Jeep and off-road vehicle owners who need an extremely compact CB unit, as all radio components are contained within the handset. Antenna attachment, power wiring and external speaker hookup all run through a small mounting box that can be tucked away for a clean installation. The radio includes 10 weather channels for monitoring conditions while on the trail, plus an extended two-year warranty for peace of mind.
Antenna:

Included in the kit is 3' fiberglass antenna that is pre-tuned for the Jeep JK. 

    Mounting Hardware:
    Included in the kit is an aluminum JK spare tire mount. This mount attaches to the factory bolt holes on the Jeep's spare tire carrier and includes all necessary mounting hardware. Because the mount is aluminum, you do not need to scrape off any coating to get it to ground properly.
    Additional Information:

    This kit also includes an external speaker and Ring Coax Cable.

    • Jeep External Speaker: The Cobra's small speaker can occasionally be difficult to hear, especially over the roar of a revving Jeep engine. That's why we include the Jeep compact external speaker to ensure clear communication in noisy environments. The speaker comes with a mounting bracket for easy installation anywhere in the vehicle cab.
    • Ring Coax Cable with FME: The Ring coax cable is coated with rubber to protect the coax connection from water, mud, and general trail muck. The FME connector allows you to remove the PL-259 end for easier cable routing.
    • Cobra 75 Microphone Mount: Made specifically for 2011+ JK Jeeps, this mount attaches next to the passenger grab bar and allows the radio to face the driver. This is the perfect CB microphone mount for JK Jeeps.

    Excellent kit.

    Easy install and very nice kit. Worked perfect without tuning. The external speaker is loud and clear with the Jeep logo on it. Highly recommend this kit.

    Kudos to Right Channel Radio

    Kudos to Right Channel Radio. I contacted customer service shortly after ordering the kit and received a prompt response. I also received regular updates from Right Channel Radio on the status of my order. The customer service was great. I ordered the Mopar JK Jeep CB radio kit instead of shopping for individual components, just because it was convenient. The kit was delivered on time and the install was easy taking about 90 minutes. The Cobra 75 looks great mounted in the cab and there was more than enough cable between the radio (mounted behind the glove box) and the antenna (on the spare tire mount). There have been some comments about the quality of the Cobra 75's internal speaker. With the top on my JK I have no problem hearing radio communications. If you drive with the top off you will probably need the external speaker. My radio has not been tuned and the range is between 1 and 2.5 miles using the components included with the kit. I am sure the performance of the Cobra 75 could be improved with tuning and a better antenna but the radio serves my needs as is. Overall the kit offered everything I needed to install and use the Cobra 75. I would recommend Right Channel Radio to anyone who is shopping the a CB radio for their Jeep.

    Nice kit but has some flaws

    Just got my "Official Mopar Kit" and while The kit is what I expected it fell short in a couple of areas. First the antenna has to tuned by trimming the coiled wire at the tip of the antenna unlike some higher quality antennas that you turn a nut up or down to tune it to your SWR meter. Problem is if you cut the wire to tune it to the JK then want to move it to another vehicle you might not be able to tune it. My biggest issue with the kit however was the microphone mount. Mine came complete with corrosion under the powder coating which showed up as blisters under the paint... Not what I was expecting from Rightchannelradios or for the price I paid. I'm going to have to sand blast the powder coating off, clean up the corrosion, and then have it powder coated again. Added work and added cost. So while the radio and external speaker were fine the rest fell way short.
