Just installed this mount and a Firestick on an '04 Suburban. Had it on about a week now. So far, it is just as advertised, and a very good design when you consider the location and the fact that it makes use of a pre-existing hole as the mounting point. It is hard to get in that space to run the nut onto the bolt, and the prior reviewer's comment about making the bolt a stud is a good one. Biggest problem with the install was trying to run wire through the firewall.

Right Channel Radio's service was outstanding and responsive. My first order, but from my experience, they are different, and well worth whatever premium you might pay over Amazon, etc.

At first look I didn't think this mount would work, in fact I requested a return on the item. I got a call from RCR and the proper placement was described to me. I returned to the truck in question and it is a great product. I would like to see the mounting bolt replaced with a "Stud" and the stud becoming a permanent part of the mount itself. This is due because of the tight space where the mount goes. It is a very tight fit and not much room for fingers to start the nut and hold the bolt at the same time.

I can't thank the service people at RCR enough for contacting me the same day I sent for return information, Kudos to those folks.

Great fit and finish for the truck. Looks almost like stock equipment. I learned the hard way though, don't try to make your own crimped-on cable by cutting one with screw-on connectors. You will need to order one or use the FireRing connector. Only other negative was installation. Not a design flaw, but trying to fit a wrench in where it needed to go was frustrating. Get someone with small hands to help.
