Unable to Resolve Issue

Unfortunately, instances arise where no matter how thoroughly or efficiently you troubleshoot you system, you STILL can't get your SWR into an acceptable range. For whatever reason, the occasional vehicle / antenna combination seems to refuse to work well together. When this occurs, keep these "rough" guidelines in mind:

SWR 2.0 - 2.4: While not good, this likely won't damage your radio with casual use. Again, it's by no means a good tuning job, but will function if you've exhausted all other troubleshooting possibilities.

Disclaimer: Please note that this is a general guideline and not a guarantee your radio will not have issues. As you likely already know, SWR should be below 2.0 for best operations.

SWR 2.5 - 2.9: Performance in this range will be noticeably affected and the possibility exists of damaging your radio if you transmit with it frequently and for extended periods. Advised not to operate radio in this range.

SWR 3.0+: Performance will be severely affected and you are likely to damage your radio with extended transmission use. You SHOULD NOT regularly transmit with your CB at SWR levels above 3.0.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Radio damage only will occur due to TRANSMITTING from an antenna with high SWR readings. Leaving the radio on to receive signals poses no risk to your radio.

Returning Equipment

Ultimately, the decision as to if and how to operate your radio is up to you. However, we don't want you to be stuck with equipment that you can't use, or don't feel comfortable using. That's why we'll happily accept most equipment for a refund within 45 days of purchase. While we understand a working installation is always the goal, getting a refund is always better than being stuck with equipment that you can't use. Please let us know if you'd like to return your equipment.
