Maco V58 is top notch and I can't think of a better antenna to buy!
Review by 4-2-Zero -
I have been operating the CB for 30+ years and have tried almost every antenna style, size, height, brand and price but the V-58 is number one and has been for 10+ years! The V-58 and it's big brother are among the best antennas ever made; easy to build and tune. My SWR has not changed in 10+ years and it's faced 100mph winds, bad ice and snow storms and has almost been bent in half and it always bounces back.Overall Rating
The V-58 has great power dispersion in an almost 360 degree radius. I have hit it over 1 kw in small doses without a problem and I've pushed 3-500 watts into it pep-peak. Buy with confidence , tune it on the ground with a 10 foot pipe and then put it up as high as you can! Mine is 44 feet to the base and I can talk straight up to 30-40 miles and skip around the world!

Broke after 1 year
Review by Michael Haag -
I had the v58 about 1 year. The antenna broke off above the mounting base either because it was not strong enough or defective. I am a little disappointed in the antenna. I had a radio shack 5/8 wave antenna since 1974 and it broke in the fall, so bought this one. It lasted about a year, but then failed. (Written 1/28/2012) (Posted on February 21, 2012)Overall Rating
