I bought one about a year ago now and have been very happy with my " Little Mid ". The price was great at about 40 bucks and haven't had any issues with my radio. It's true you have to spend some money on higher quality Antennas and mounts, but with correct tunning with an SWR Meter you'll be very pleased. I'd definately recomend it for a beginner.I work in the mountains of Colorado and I use my radio every day on my commute in my Grand Cherokee, it's always come through when i needed it most..!

Service from Right Channel was perfect, quick, and accurate. I'd certainly order from them again. The CB radio is excellent, however some of the accessories were cheap. For example the fuse was broken, so I replace it and the fuse holder clamps quickly broke - so I used electrical tape to hold it together. The cigarette lighter adapter plug broke in several pieces as you tried to connect the wires - so I bought a better quality at Radio Shake. I would, however, buy another Midland product.

I needed a reliable CB for my truck, and that is exactly what I recieved when I ordered the Midland 1001Z CB radio. I was a little tentative considering the low price but it turns out this might just be the best CB in this price range, a few of my friends have $100 and up CB's, but mine preforms just as well everywhere theres does. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, I recommed this CB radio to anyone who wants a reliable, long lasting product for a very reasonable price.

The radio arrived in great shape. It was just as described and exactly what I wanted. My son and I are getting into CBs. with some old hand me down stuff. The radio I got from Right Channel Radios helped us find out what worked and what didn't. It is great to have some more time to spend with my son. If I need more equipment I will definitely be back.

We use 6 of these at our facility . Mostly yard tractors . Tough, day in day out usage . Only 1 small failure , sent it back to Midland ; their warranty department turned it around QUICKLY !! Other than that , these radios have worked flawlessly . I have seen NO better radio in this price range . If you are new to CB's or a part time user -- this is the one to try out . Most small radios don't have a RF Gain control BUT, this little gem does ! A great feature to have if you operate in large metropolitan areas to filter some of the ground noise & propagation . You can spend more for a radio but, for the beginner this is the ONE to buy! A FANTASTIC VALUE .
