The Galay DX 929 takes all the great features of the 919 and adds a full backlit display. Galaxy's StarLite backlit faceplate illuminates all lettering, making fumbling in the dark for the right knob a thing of the past. The oversize, easy-to-read meter measures modulation, power and SWR and is illuminated for easy night viewing. Like all Galaxy radios, it includes variable output power, RF gain, PA, high-SWR alert, mic gain, talk back and automatic SWR calibration for simpler antenna tuning. Awesome Radio. Way better than the Cobra 29!

I am the owner of 65 trucks and 90% of them have cobra 29 classic radios. I always loved the 29 and hardly any issue with them. I just bought the Galaxy 929 4 months ago and all the reviews said is was slight better than the 29. I'm here to tell you there is a HUGE difference! The Galaxy 929 is now going to be the choice purchase CB for all of our trucks. The bad thing is waiting for the iron horse Cobras to die off if they ever do. I give 5 stars because they're simple, easy to use, and for beginners and vets/everyone.

I bought this radio from RCR and I love it. It was shipped and received by myself in about 4 days. I bought the Galaxy 929 and the 4 ft. Firstik complete kit and a PA horn. It all works great. I took a drive last night and the radio does everything it should and have had no problems what so ever. Highly recommended. Great price.
