I bought this large magnet mount to use with the Hustler center loaded 'Truckers CB antenna'. It holds very securely on the top of my van and I have no fear of it ever falling off even on the freeway. It is very strong and I have to use both hands when lifting it off. I am using this as a universal mount as I can mount various ham band antennas on it as well. I Would definitely recommend this.

High quality, lasting mount!

I bought a Hustler HD 5" Mag-Mount back around 2000 and used it on my jeep, steel plates, ammo boxes, metal fencing, almost anything I can think of at home and in the field, rain or shine.

I first bought it to hold Ham Stick antennas. These are 7' whips, but have mounted a bolt on it to a 74' random wire into a tree, with no problem.

Rated at 95ft/lb holding capacity to whatever you can mount it on. My only problem at this point was prying it off. With 9 years of 100% satisfaction, you got my vote!

I purchased the Hustler Heavy-Duty Magnet Mount after returning the Firestik Heavy-Duty Magnet Mount. The information given said that the 4' Firestik Firefly antenna would work with the Firestik Magnet Mount. That combination will not work and will fly off your vehicle even when coming to a stop. The Hustler works great however, as I hit it with a tree branch a couple of times and it still stayed in place. The Hustler is truly "Heavy-Duty" the Firestik magnet is not. (Posted on July 25, 2012)

Outstanding Magnet!

I instantly installed a Wilson 5000 trucker which I already owned hoping it would stay on the roof of the SUV that I just purchased. While traveling the interstate daily for work, the magnet has not moved even with high wind & speed. I am very pleased & I highly recommend this magnet mount to anyone. Thanks RCR!!! I am using this mount for 75M Ham radio with a Hustler RM-75-S antenna connected through a Hustler RSS-2 Stainless Spring. Works great and stays put under all highway speeds and conditions! This is a quality product with heavy holding power. Buy with confidence! (Posted on February 19, 2013)
