The product I purchased was the pick-up truck package Uniden 510XL kit. This packages was priced extremely well and provided everything you need to get going quickly. The kit came with clear concise directions as well as quality built equipment. I would recommend this kit for anyone starting out, I have very little CB experience but so far everything has preformed well.
I use this kit on my truck while offroading with my friends. It makes life a lot easier not having to constantly get out and talk. Another advantage is not forgetting to bring new batteries for a hand held radio or losing the radio in the cab.
I would recommend getting it tuned just to get the additional range not that I have needed it but it would be nice to have it if I did. The only draw back with the kit itself is the amount of cable you get, I ended up having to purchase a 20ft roll of antenna cable. When planning your install to be safe double the amount of cable you think you need.
Overall I would rate this product a 5 because you get a quality product at a very reasonable price, most of my friends are running 200 dollar systems but they all work the same.

The compact radio fits nice in my Toyota, good for off-roading!

I really don't have anything bad to say about the radio. It's small and compact, which is great in a small Toyota like mine. It was extremely easy to install. The package that I bought saved me a ton of money and was really convenient in the sense that I didn't have to go make 3 or 4 different orders; it was all there. I don't use it on the freeway too much so I can't really comment on its performance with long range transmitting. However, I do use it when I go 4wheeling and it works great. The only thing I would suggest is that you include a longer coax cable with the package. I found myself running to radio shack to buy a longer one, which isn't a big deal, but it would just be nice to not have to do that. Over all I would rate my CB radio a 5.

Great Range & Clarity!

My family caravans and we were using the FRS radios and we all got tired of having to change the batteries and not be able to talk to each other while even seeing each other. The solution was to get the Uniden Pro510XL. Great range and clarity, and don't have to worry about changing the batteries.
