Procomm Base-Loaded Steel Whip CB Antenna

We field tested this antenna is the San Rafael Swell in Utah last month and were very pleased with its performance. It is a much better match to the hood mount on our Grand Cherokee than the fiberglass mast we had tried previously. The reception was also very good with excellent range.

Great for fender mount!

Seems like a good antenna so far. I’m getting good range and the antenna seems pretty durable mounted to the fender on my 2013 F-150. I did have to trim the antenna quite a bit to achieve an acceptable SWR. I got it down to 1.8:1 on channel 20. So far, I’m super happy with this antenna, just be ready to tune it if you go with this one.

It works, checked swr, no adjustment needed. Fit my mount well.

base loaded Procomm half-breed

Using this antenna was a necessity for my little car. Fiberglass whip antennas, as I’ve used for my truck would look ridiculous mounted on the trunk of a KIA. I was pleasantly surprised with the antenna’s performance, achieving a good SWR right out of the box. With a little tuning I was able to get a practically flat 1.2 across all 40. The antenna looks good and isn’t excessively noisy like some loaded antennas I’ve had. Very pleased with my purchase and with Right Channel Radios.
