This is my first experience

This is my first experience with K40 CB Antenna's. I've Always used Wilson 5000's but I thought I'd try K40's this time around and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the K40's. I'd have to say that they're at least as good as my Wilson 5000's were maybe even a little better. They have great range of course my radio is not stock either but the range of transmitting and receiving seems to be about the same and the clarity as well. I am not disappointed that I sold my semi with my Wilsons when I retired. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE K40's They're AWESOME and they're cheaper then the Wilson 5000's. But both are great antenna's.

K40 vs Wilson 2000

I got this antenna to test against my Wilson 2000. First off let me start by saying that the customer service here is top notch. I got my items within 3 days and when I had questions, I emailed them and they got back to me with in 35 minutes or so. So 5 stars all the way for you guys! Great job!

I got to say that this antenna is very well made but I believe that the Wilson is a bit better when it comes to receiving signal due to some people having problems with the tip breaking off, though I had no problems with it. Well, hands down! I would have to say K-40 antenna takes the cake. The Wilson 2000 had 5-s units of static where the K-40 only had maybe 1-s unit. And I could hear further on the K-40 vs the Wilson. For transmission, in my tests the K-40 was just a little better. Same signal for both but but they said the K-40 had a little more audio for some reason..

Equipment used and test parameters:
Magnum S-3
Side mount by drivers side
18 ft coax (fire ring)
2 pill TNT HD 350
Dead key 60watts swinging 423 watts pep
Dosy test meter
Tahoe z71 2002
Receiving station was 13.67 miles away and all setting on radio and location were the same with in a 20 minute test time

Over all, due to the noise cut out / reduction, I think I'll stick with my K-40 antenna. It was easy to tune. I had to cut off like 2 1/2 inches to get it to a flat match which was kinda expected.

Anywho, Twitch Radio 407 coming at you from the south side of Seattle WA. 73s and have a good one!
