I purchased the Cobra HH Roadtrip CB for use in my car while making long driving trips. I have so far been dissatisfied with the reception and overall performance from the radio. I know it's working since I can hear communications from truckers just a short distance away but I have to keep the volume up and endure loud background interference as I monitor for bear sitings. The radio picks up engine noise when driving. If I try to squelch out the noise the radio just goes dead silent and there is no communication getting through. I have had the radio for several months and have hoped it would get better but it doesn't seem to be. I don't talk on it very much but I suspect that it's range is also very poor along with the receiving reception. I would not recommend this radio to others. Sadly, this radio would have fit my requirements nicely since I don't have room for a full CB in the car.

I purchased the Cobra HH Roadtrip and took it to work with me in the truck. All that was being received was engine noise. I returned it to the place where I had purchased it and told them that this radio will not pick up a sneeze if someone was next to you. Very bad reception and would not recommend this radio.

I bought this to replace a 15 year old Cobra HH 35 Wx. The reception was very poor and I returned it.
