I would like to say that I am a Owner of the galaxy 2547 cb base radio and it does a great job. That's all I have to say. Just buy it you will be happy for sure. I use it all the time great sound & works very well. I live in upstate n.y. and have herd people talk all the way from Spokane, Georgia, Tennessee, New Jersey and NYC. Great price and radio. Have fun in c.b. land. Coyote trapper.

Great, awesome radio! Highly recommended!

This is a great radio. I got this thing hooked up with the imax 2000 and I'm hearing people all over the country. I have talked to people in South Georgia and Mississippi and I'm in N.J. With the tip of antenna at roughly 54' , this was very unexpected but true. Right Channel Radios hooked me up and I will remember that when I need more quality stuff. Thanks a lot RCR. GREAT BASE UNIT

THIS IS A VERY GREAT RADIO IM A BIG CB ER AND HAVE HAD MANY DIFFERENT RADIOS AND SET UPS. I HAVE BEEN TALKING OVER THE DX 2547 FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW AND IT HAS NEVER FAILED ME ONCE. I WAS DEPRESSED WHEN I FIRST TOOK IT OUT THE BOX ANS SAW IT HAD NO ECHO BUILT INTO IT. IT HAS GREAT MODULATION TO IT. I WAS DISAPPOINTED OF THE NOISE FILTER THAT THEY CAME OUT WITH ON IT, IT MUFFLES THE INCOME MODULATION UP. OVER ALL THIS IS A GOOD RADIO AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS. Not good for sideband

The Galaxy 2547 was not a good radio for me. It was way out of alignment when I first bought it brand new. I guess I could've sent it back to the factory, but I had just gotten it and wanted to talk. So I paid to have it aligned. It has to warm up before you can use it on sideband and that took too long. It never seems to get right on frequency. I replaced it with an RCI 2950 which is always on frequency and works great. Too bad Galaxy is the only company who makes a base cb these days. (Posted on May 6, 2012)
