Excellent Service

Review by Donald S.
Overall Rating
As an off-road enthusiast, I was in need of a CB radio to communicate with friends while on the trail. I own a 2006 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited and wanted a compact unit. After reading several reviews on rightchannelradios.com, I selected a Uniden Pro520XL with a Wilson 3' Flex antenna, a Fire-Flex coax cable, and a 10 watt PA speaker.

I mounted the antenna above the left rear tail light using a stainless steel mounting bracket installed behind the tail light assembly and connected the Fire-Flex coax cable (I did have to make a trip to the local electronics store purchase the double female connector needed to connect the antenna to the bolt that came with the Fire-Flex coax cable but, the part was only a few dollars). This made for a very clean set-up and it positioned the top of the 3' antenna about 6 inches above the soft-top on my Jeep.

Communication from rightchannelradios.com was excellent; e-mail responses to the few questions I had were immediate. Furthermore, the reviews and tech tips available on rightchannelradios.com were very helpful. I sincerely hope someone finds this review equally helpful.

I highly recommend rightchannelradios.com and will return again for any CB needs I have in the future.

Performs as advertised.

The Wilson 4" flex antenna originally calibrated to 1:1.4. After a little tweaking it came down to 1:1.2 on the SWR. This antenna was mounted to my Jeep JK and used on the trail being abused by tree limbs. It performed great and its ability to bend 180 degrees was true to its advertising. The extra ground mount that protrudes at the base of the fiberglass is really unneeded and its instructions should mention that.

This thing is awesome! It was very easy to tune. I have already put it to the test in trees and a parking garage with a low ceiling. It is VERY flexy!

Good Performance!

Review by Russ

I've got the 3' and think its a great antenna. Send and receive performance is very good. Easy to tune with adjustable tip. Very flexible so branches and low garage doors are not a problem, yet stiff enough that it only has a little bow at 70mph. Looks great in black.

Perfect for Trails & Highway Driving

Review by Jason
Overall Rating
Great antenna, flexes nicely on the trails with low hanging branches, and its stiff enough that it only bows a little bit going down the highway. Would definitely buy again. The only weakness as far as I am concerned, is using the tiny allen wrench to tune it. Wish it had a thumb wheel or something to make it easier.

I ordered a 3' Wilson Flex with a Cobra 18 WX CB Radio. Order processing was
very quick. I had also called previously to tech support to ask some
questions on how I was going to do my setup and even though I wasn't a
customer yet they took the time to answer all my questions. I installed this
cb radio in a 96 4Runner and it fit in the DIN slot below my stereo. I
mounted the antenna using the deep hood channel mount with the Firestik
FireRing coax. The whole setup looks super clean. I am using the radio for
4-wheeling and the occasional road trip. Nice and clear signal out of the
box on a 4-wheeling run that weekend. I would highly recommend Right Channel
Radios to anybody.

Good Product, Great Company!

Review by Harda A. Callicutt

I recently purchased a replacement antenna for my GMC 3500 Sierra Pick up mounted Citizens Band radio. It is a replacement because the antenna being replaced (a fiberglass antenna) would not stand up to the rigors of a drive-through vehicle wash. I knew this, but my grandson, who drove the truck through a local carwash that could handle a "dually" didn't realize that the antenna would suffer in the deal.

Right Channel supplied me with a 4ft., 200 watt Flex antenna Model #FLEX-4 BK. The antenna was delivered just as promised and amazingly, it had been packed for shipment in such a manner that it made the trip from Montana to North Carolina without UPS being able to damage it at all. (Terrific packaging)

When installed, the antenna performed admirably. We tuned the standing wave for optimum transmission and reception and it works wonderfully. I'm not familiar enough with CB antennas to give the unit a fair evaluation, but for me, I don't know what could be better.

I'm just one of those "country boys" from North Carolina who enjoys his truck and all the accessories that go with it. When it works well, I'm a happy man and when it doesn't work as I expect, I set about to fix it or get it fixed.

In this case, the new antenna solved my problem; the antenna looks like it belongs on the back bumper, so I go merrily along my way.

Of course, when including the shipping charges, the total cost was a bit much, but I learned years ago that you usually get what you pay for, especially when a supplier such as Right Channel Radios is in the picture.

Thank you for your assistance.

Great antenna, Highly recommended!

I purchased the 4’ Wilson Flex for a 06 TJ Jeep Wrangler. I use a driver side behind the Tail Light mount.

SWR were so low after the install I almost did not even waste my time tuning it.

However, I did and it’s a walking, talking, son of a gun now buddy!

It is a great antenna. I would recommend and purchase again.
