Great kit, All you need for RV installation.

This kit was put on a Ford chassis class C , 21 ' RV with fiberglass sides. Went with 3' antenna, that is mostly above the roof line and is probably higher than needed. With limited testing so far, received clear signals from 12 miles away! This is in the flat but very much built up NW Chicago suburban area near O'hare airport. Not my first CB radio but first time using a SWR meter and learning how to do it from Right Channel Radios excellent online instructions. Its nice having a well made antenna kit made in the USA. I would recommend Right Channel and will purchase from them again. (Posted on April 4, 2012)

I recommend this kit!

While seeking a CB antenna that would work on a fiberglass motorhome, I selected the 2' roof top mount indicated above. I ordered this from Right Channel Radio and was very pleased with the confirmation, tracking info, and the fast delivery. The unit works as promised, just be sure to not coil your extra coax, as this will eliminate your needed ground plane. My mistake was ordering a 2' antenna when the 1' antenna would have provided the needed clearance on top of the motorhome. I would recommend this type of antenna for use on boats, RVs, & Corvettes due to the fiberglass construction of each and no visible ground plane. When it comes to CB radios and supplies I will check first with Right Channel Radio before making any purchases.

So far OK

Just had it installed on my new Motor Home and began a 3,700 mile trip for 2 weeks. Everything went well during installation but actual use is limited to a couple of short duration test outings. (Posted on October 5, 2012)
