Great Value!

I had a height issue with having an antenna on top of my Subaru Outback. I know that the antenna is one of if not the most critical link and if there was an area i could not skimp on, antenna was it.

I work in an ER and have to go through a garage daily, the reason for the height concern. I purchased this after doing some research, purchased one and installed it. I installed the whip all the way down, tightened the allen screw and immediately proceeded to SWR tuning with my Uniden PC78XL, without tuning, 1.1 to 1,on all channels! WOW!

I did a radio check around my area and was throwing out 7 miles with excellent modulation, all this without a Peak and Tune on the radio! I used to use a K40 way back when and I must say...for something this compact and cheap, you can't beat it!

Best small magnet antenna available!

All over the internet this is recommended as the best of the smaller magnet antennas, and I have to agree. It was easy to install, not so tall so that I don't hit things when mounted on my Mitsubishi Outlander (small crossover SUV), and gives me great range.

I wouldn't recommend any of the smaller magnet or glass-mount antennas over this, they just don't have very good range. I certainly had enough cable without a lot of extra when I came out the back hatch to the roof, tucking the cable under trim to get up to the front of the car.

With the antenna connected to my Cobra 19DX IV with a 3 ft connector cable and my little SWR meter, (that i am leaving connected tucked up behind the dash) the antenna actually had to be raised just a little bit. I ended with 1.3 on channel 1 and 40 and 1.1 on channels 4-36.

Also, I never had an issue with the antenna blowing off even when passing at 75Mph on the interstate.

If height is less of an issue, get the bigger wilson magnet antenna such as the 500. Remember, CB's power is always the same 4 watts so the thing that makes the difference in how far and strong your signal is. This will depend on the length of your antenna. Longer antennas go further with the same power.

Good compact CB antenna

I really like my Wilson Little Wil. I've had it for about a month. I use it with my galaxy DX 929 witch is really a good CB. Good compact CB antenna. I wish it had more power. I would recommend this to others.

Strongly Recommend this antenna!

I've had the little wil for 2 months hooked up to my cobra 19 DX IV and so far its proven itself. I've been able to talk to a buddy 8-9 miles away and they said I was crystal clear and I'm able to pick up people about 15 miles away on a good clear day. For a little antenna it has strong output power, I'd strongly recommend this antenna to any cb'er.

Easy to use & works great!

I have a had a CB in my truck for a little over a year and always had problems with antennas until I purchased this one. I have had it for a about 2 weeks and it has worked great. I really recommend this antenna.

I just got it installed today, with the help of a friend. Well, with him doing it and me overseeing the situation. The weather channel comes in great, but have not been on the road yet to check it out. Will be taking a road trip in two weeks, so will know more later. (Posted on July 22, 2012)

10/232012 @ 7:30 PM: I did a radio check on channel 38 on my Realistic TRC-465 radio from Radio Shack and talked to some one from Long Beach, CA; about 12 miles away from Fullerton. The person I talked to said, "Your signal is very strong". I have a Lil Will CB antenna on my radio. I put my magnet mount antenna on my friend’s roof with a cloth between the base of the antenna and the roof of his car so as not to scratch it. I did a radio check on channel 19 to a trucker on the 91 Freeway at Harbor Blvd. and he said my modulation was very clear.

This is a fantastic antenna. I installed it on my Mazda pickup without any issues. I have it hooked it up to a Uniden 520 XL. The range I got from it is amazing! I usually get around 8 miles but at times, I can get as much as 18 miles! The other day, I was talking to some guy in Mexico! (Posted on January 11, 2013)
