The 3' Firestick Firefly antenna is outstanding!

The 3' Firestick antenna is outstanding. On a scale of 1-5 it's definitely a 5.

Pros: It worked first time out of the box (tuning is required), reception and transmission on my Cobra is excellent. This antenna is attached to a custom built mount using a heavy duty spring on my 2006 Frontier. We do a lot of back-country driving and I found no problems.

Cons: I did not find any.

Great luck with the Firefly antenna!

I ordered a flexible Firestik Firefly antenna, as I have had good luck with Firestik products. The new antenna arrived in 2 days, which was one day sooner than I expected. The antenna was easily installed on my 2003 Jeep Wrangler. The antenna was easily tuned to my vehicle and CB radio. The antenna held up to a very decent trail ride and about a 350 mile round trip!

I ordered a couple of items from Right Channel Radio and they arrived in excellent condition, as always. My order was just as I wanted it, very promptly delivered. Great Antenna1

Replaced another antenna that probably wasn't made for where I had it mounted. Mounted twin Firestiks in truck stakehole mounts. Very easy to tune and greatly improved reception. I got the 4' firestiks, mounted with springs and quick disconnect. This extra height got the antennas high enough to greatly improve performance.

Works great and simple

Haven't had it installed very long but its working great so far. About as simple as it gets to install and tune.

Just did almost 2 days of driving on our road trip and couldn't even tell it was back there as it made no discernable wind noise and seemed to pick up just as good as when I was stationary. (Posted on June 14, 2012)

Outstanding Antenna!!

I originally bought the FS 4' antenna but was getting 10+ SWR. After checking and double checking everything, I decided to buy the 3' and see if there was a difference. After installing, with the medium spring, I get about 1.5 SWR throughout all channels. Antenna is durable and flexes a lot more than the 4' version. I added the medium spring so that any hard hits would flex with the spring.

My 3" Firefly antenna was tuned easily and has a good range. I mounted it on the trunk lip antenna mount kit (easy install) with a medium duty spring which was enough for the 3 ft Firefly according to its description, and users warning not to use it with anything larger. I also mounted the Firestick Quick Disconnect, beefier looking but more expensive (+$4) than Basic Disconnect. However, I did like the looks of the checking than the basic one, maybe it would assist with handling?

Anyway, overall I'm satisfied with everything I ordered & happy to get that old CB my father gave me, into my crappy car. It gave me something else to do on my 3-hour jaunts to snowboard in VT. (Posted on October 31, 2012)

Great product

This antenna is used with the Bandi mount for my '07 F Cruiser along with a medium spring and quick disconnect which are hooked up to a standard mount. I have had no problems with reception or transmitting. In the end I really like this antenna and would definitely recommend it. (Posted on February 7, 2013)
