from plastic or thin metal whips. They are also compatible with an incredible number of mounts, allowing for nearly unlimited installation possibilities. Fiberglass antennas are most commonly used with pick-up trucks, semis and off-road vehicles.

Installation & Mounting: Fiberglass antennas must be paired with a mount for installation. For acceptable performance, you should have at least half of the antenna above the roofline. As with all antennas, the longer the antenna length -- and the higher it's mounted -- the better the performance. You'll also need to buy CB coax cable to finalize your mounting installation. Fiberglass antennas are durable, but can still snap if they take a hard direct hit, so we recommend using them with an antenna spring.
