I have two of those on my truck and they work verry well. I have had magnet mount antennas on my truck and none of them have worked as well as this. I can talk really far with these whips and I love them! (Posted on March 20, 2012)

Always wanted the Big Whip on my truck. Right Channel Radios had them at a favorable price point. Easy to install, no brains required. All needed hardware was provided. Looks cool. Works great. Shipping was prompt. I lived happily ever after.

Very tall but works

Proper 1/4 wavelength on channel 19 is 8.7 feet; this antenna is pretty close to that at 8.5 feet. It gets me talking farther than my Lil Wilson or k40 ever did. Love it! (Posted on December 23, 2012)

Sweet Whips

I purchased two of these and put them on my 82 F100. I am running a Cobra 29 Classic and have no problems getting my voice out there no matter where I am. this whip is very well built and i love the heavy duty stinger. Overall, great product and well worth the money! (Posted on December 29, 2012)

Still the best.

I've tried it all. Magnet mount, fiberglass, etc, nothing beats a 102" whip. Nothing. I have mine on the right rear of my wrangler mounted to the body just below the hard top. It's tall, but not too tall. I sometimes hit at the drive trough, but I don't hit bridges or power lines. If in doubt, park next to a tractor trailer. If your's shorter, you are good to go.
