Perfect Spring for 4' Antenna

Review by Anthony L
Overall Rating
I'm using this spring with a Wilson 4' antenna and it works great. The spring gives the antenna just the right amount of give to get out of the way of tree branches and parking garages. However the antenna does not sway like crazy when driving which is what I did not want. (Written 6/21/2010)

Great for a smaller spring

I have been using this spring under a 4' Firestik antenna. It holds up better than expected at speeds up to 70mph. For its size, its great. (Posted on April 5, 2012)

A must have for low clearance situations!

I am using this spring with a firestik 4 foot antenna and firestik door jamb mount on a Tacoma truck at the rear tailgate area. The spring keeps the antenna vertical at highway speed yet has enough flexibility to allow me to tie down the antenna for clearance when parking the truck in underground parking garages. Great for a rough riding jeep!

The recommended information given to match the spring with the antenna length was right on (Firestik 4'). I first thought the spring was way too stiff (flexing by hand) but after mounting it I was surprised to see that it seemed just right. The spring should alleviate stress on my mount quite well. Pretty sturdy spring

I have to agree with Trirustic, the information given was excellent. I have an Arizona Rocky Road center tailgate mount and then have the heavy duty spring and then the quick disconnect and then my 4' firestik. I would like to say that if you are going to set up with the spring and disconnect to consider getting the 2' or 3' firestik II. My antenna does flex a bit more than I wanted but at least it will save the mount from stress so that I don't have to buy another one. Mounting took a little while and because my 2006 TJ is garage kept, it killed me to gring off the paint from the tailgate needed to obtain a good ground. It will be paid off soon and then the fun begins!!!! Thanks RCR!! (Posted on May 30, 2012)

Helps prevent antenna breakage

Review by JBK
Overall Rating
This spring was installed on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport to avoid having the four-foot Firestik II antenna snap off when being bent beneath a low-hanging object. It also made tuning the antenna easier by raising the antenna above the vehicle from the mounting point on the rear hatch mount position. (Posted on July 9, 2012)

If you wheel, you're going to need a spring otherwise your antenna will break just like how my old one did. It's a spring and it does its job. Fast shipping and good pricing!

HD Antenna Spring

Review by DJ

I have a 5 ft. Wilson and this spring handles the antenna very well at a high way speed. It hardly moves, but it still allows the antenna to bend where height is an issue. (Posted on October 9, 2012)
