Works Well, Great Fit

I first tried a Barjan quick disconnect from the local truck stop, but it didn't hold tight and rattled. This is quick to install / use and works as designed. Gives a tight fit with no rattle. (Written 12/14/2008). (Posted on December 14, 2011)

Top of the Line Part

The firestik quick-disconnect has a lot less play (wobble) than many other brands that I have tried. It is a tight fit and gives you antenna a much more stable mount. I highly recommend this part if you are in the market for a quick disconnect for your antenna. (Posted on March 28, 2012)

Tight positve lock

Just a quick pull down and twist it off. The spring loaded lock works great and maintains good contact with the base for a perfect antenna connection. Hundreds of removal and it's fine. (Posted on April 3, 2012)

Quality part

This is a well made disconnect. It's tight with no wobble. I use it with a 4' Firestik/Firefly. It allows me to easily remove the antenna when going through the car wash or any low ceiling place. (Posted on May 18, 2012)

I accepted Right Channel Radios' recommendation of the Firestik CB Antenna Quick Disconnect after researching what other disconnects are available and I am glad that I did. It is an easy way to remove the antenna from my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport when I am in a location where an overhead barrier might damage the antenna or I want to remove the antenna to park the vehicle. I often find myself in low parking garages and have resorted to tying down my permanent antenna in the past. With the new Firestik I couldn't easily do that. This disconnect is the perfect solution. It's a strong, positive connection with no wobble or flex. Mounting/un-mounting of the antenna is easy and installation of the disconnect took all of 30 seconds. (Posted on July 17, 2012)
