Works, But Has Drawbacks

I have used the fold over adapter for 7 months now. It does work as advertised, but there is about an 1/8 inch of play in the adapter mechanism. This allows the antenna to rock back and forth about 2 inches (at the top of a 4 foot antenna). I feel that an antenna should be firmly fixed to the vehicle, but with this adapter, it just feels a little sloppy. Also, I live in Colorado and the adapter is already rusting out just from one winter.

3 stars because it does work as advertised. Loss of a star because of rust. Loss of another star because of the play in the mechanism.(Written 7/1/2011). (Posted on December 14, 2011)
