CB Coax Cable

What You Should Know:

Type: There are three types of coax: RG58, RG8X and RG59. RG58 is the most common and affordable type of coax. It's used for mobile CB applications and can be a good choice if a quality brand like Firestik is selected. RG8X Show More...
(sometimes called Mini-8) is the premium grade of CB coax. It's better shielded, usually has hand-soldered ends, is and generally a bit beefier. RG59 coax MUST be used for dual antenna installations. If you try to use standard RG58 or RG8X coax on a dual antenna installation, you will run into severe performance problems.

Length: You'll notice that most of our coax is 18' long, as this length is more resistant to performance and installations problems. Although this is not a hard-and-fast rule, in the best interest of our customers, we do recommend it. For more information on coax cable, including why we recommend 18' lengths, please see Firestik's informative CB Coax Guide.
